CSC and European Data Hub announce partnership

On February,11, 2010, CSC and European Data Center (EDC) announced their new partnership, in presence of the Luxembourg Minister for Communications and Media, François Biltgen.

CSC and EDC operate a brand new Tier IV data center in Luxembourg, built according to the latest technical standards. The new datacenter offers 5500m² underground IT rooms, very secure infrastructure, and is located in Luxembourg-city.

The minister congratulated the initiators of the project on the choice of the name "European Data Center". It reflects Luxembourg's objective to become the European Center for data processing-related activities. He welcomed the fact that Luxembourg now offers even more choice to businesses depending on powerful and secure infrastructures.The ministre also stressed the Green IT-approach, which is particularly important to the Government.

CSC is a world leader in IT and business solutions operating in Luxembourg under the PSF (Professionals of the Financial Sector) label, which stands for confidential and secure data processing. CSC also announced that it will strengthen its presence in Luxembourg.
